Cheers Lager
Posted: 4 March 2015  Beer Republic 4.0
Cheers Lager from Thailand Asia Pacific Brewery's downmarket entrant is Cheers, standing junior to the brewery's upmarket and multinational Tiger.  The big difference: Tiger poses as a quality beer. Cheers accepts that it's not and charges accordingly.
Avg price/liter: USD 2.23   ABV %: 5.0  Type: lager Thailand beer

Of the four big powerhouse breweries in Thailand, all have what they call their upmarket and downmarket brands.  Asia Pacific Brewery's downmarket entrant is Cheers, standing junior to the brewery's upmarket and multinational Tiger.

Cheers comes with the same blue label and the same alcohol content as its big brother.  Cheers is slightly worse than its brother but also slightly cheaper, and you're likely to derive as much pleasure per buck spent with one as you will with the other.

The big difference: Tiger poses as a quality beer.  Cheers accepts that it's not and charges accordingly.

If you see one in a shop, buy one and try one to check it off your list.
