Evil Twin Brewing Hipster Ale
Posted: 20 May 2015
Hipster Ale is for those who think they're hip when their
city is not. I'll break it to you without sugar
coating it. You'll be no hipper after you sipped a can or
six cans than you were last week.
Avg price/liter: USD 14.00
ABV %: 5.5
Type: Pale Ale
This beer was made with Steve
Pavlina, the online blog guru, in mind. Pavlina calls
his blog "Personal Development For Smart People."
Naturally, everyone thinks he's smart, so his blog is for
everyone. Hipster Ale is, too. It's for those
who think they're hip when their city is not. As there
are, I am sure, idiots reading Steve Pavlina's blog, so,
too, are there the truly unhip drinking this brew.
And neither Pavlina or Evil Twin care!
Names and clever 1970ish art
deco work on the can aside, this is just a pale ale.
Decent enough and also expensive enough. It was once
hip to be able to go to dives or head to a bar in a rundown
neighborhood, as long as you didn't have to. Today,
people go to such places because they think they're being
part of the hip crowd. Tear a hole in your
jeans, sit in a chair that'll give you splinters, and pay a
week's paycheck to do it, and you're in.
I'll break it to you without
sugar coating it. Hipster Ale is just a pale ale.
You'll be no hipper after you sipped a can or six cans than
you were last week.
