Birradamare Na Biretta Chiara

Birradamare is a creative brewery. When they brew a
conventional style, they don't brew it conventionally. If
you're like 90% of the world who will only drink pale Euro
lagers, let Chiara be your first step in a more enlightened
direction. You won't be disappointed. And if you are,
don't blame me. You can assume I was drunk as I wrote

Four months ago, I had my
first opportunity to try Birradamare Na Biretta Chiara at a
local Italian restaurant in Bangkok. A friend and I
had consumed a number of Danish beers beforehand, courtesy

Until now. I was at a
Neopolitan Italian restaurant in Bangkok last week and on
the menu was Birradamare's Chiara. This was my chance
to do justice to this beer.
You learn something new everyday, and I remembered, months and months ago, after
trying L'Olmaia's La 5 that La 5, too, was described as a chiara type of beer. So

Birradamare of Italy is a creative
brewery. Their bottles have an unusual design and
their flavors grow on you. When they brew a
conventional style, they don't brew it conventionally.
And Chiara is no exception. This is a fragrant
flavorful aromatic pilsner, with fuller body than any German
pilsner I recollect drinking recently.
If you're like 90% of the
world who will only drink pale Euro lagers, let Chiara be
your first step in a more enlightened direction. You
won't be disappointed. And if you are, don't blame me.
