Gallia India Pale Ale
Posted: 9 October 2015  Beer Republic 6.5
Gallia IPA from France Gallia dry hops Citra and Amarillo hops into their IPA.  This IPA is perfectly acceptable and if I were caught in a Parisian bar having to drink this, you wouldn't hear me complaining.  While Gallia's IPA is definitely better than the average, it's not so good I'd hunt it out.   Unless it's on a deeply discounted sale.  Or I'm in Paris.
Avg price/liter: USD 12.12   ABV %: 4.7  Type: IPA

I was able to purchase three varieties of Gallia on sale recently.   I should have waited another week.  The prices on the bottles dropped further.

Gallia Lager was an unqualified disappointment.  I tried it a second time just to be sure.  But I cleansed my palate afresh and with an open mind, popped open the caps on a second Gallia variety, the IPA.

Gallia IPA proves a better investment of your cash for your taste buds.  Gallia dry hops Citra and Amarillo hops into their IPA.  As these American hops varieties are common to many different breweries' IPAs, you may not find Gallia's IPA unusually distinctive, which is not to say it's bad.  This IPA is perfectly acceptable and if I were caught in a Parisian bar having to drink this, you wouldn't hear me complaining.

Had Gallia IPA showed up on the racks ten years ago, the Parisians would be bowing down to the brewers as if they were demigods.  Everyone is brewing an IPA nowadays, and while Gallia's is definitely better than the average, it's not so good I'd hunt it out.

Unless it's on a deeply discounted sale.  Or I'm in Paris.
