Van Honsebrouck Kasteel Blond from Belgium At 7% this beer is billed as a light beer.  It's all relative.  Most of Kasteel's beers are over 10%.  Blondes are viewed as ditzy.  You'll be ditzy as well after half a six pack.
Avg price/liter: USD 14.97   ABV %: 7.0  Type: Ale

When you think of a blonde (woman), you have a pretty good idea up front what all blondes have in common.  A blond beer, on the other hand?  You wonder if one blond beer has anything in common with another.

Months ago I drank Birradamare's delicious Bionda, billed as a blond beer, a lager type.  Did that have anything in common with Kasteel Blond?  About as much as a blond does with a brunette wearing a blond wig.

At 7% this beer is billed as a light beer.  It's all relative.  Most of Kasteel's beers are over 10%.  And the blond version Kasteel originally introduced back when the beer went by the name of Kasteelbier was 11% and is now Kasteel's Tripel.

Blondes are stereotypically looked upon as uncomplicated and easy.  Kasteel Blond is uncomplicated. Nothing in this brew but the basic four: water, yeast, hops, barley malt. And it's easy, too -- easy to drink (after getting overly intoxicated on the 11%+ Kasteel brews).  Blondes are viewed as ditzy.  You'll be ditzy as well after half a six pack.

Gentlemen (in Belgium) really do prefer blondes.
