Brothers Festival Cider
Posted: 8 November 2015  Beer Republic 5.5
Brothers Festival Cider from UK For a company which brags of the splendid "just a little bit fresher" Somerset fruits, Brothers Festival Cider has a an extra sweet pear taste, as if the pears came out of a can. Brothers, so far, has been like a girl I met at a party and was smitten with from her outward looks. As I continue to come into contact with her and learn more about her each time, I begin to like her less and less.
Avg price/liter: USD 6,50   ABV %: 7.0  Type: Cider

Brothers.  Four brothers sired by a multimillionaire cider tycoon who went on to launch their own supersuccessful cider operation that has also made them multimillionaires.

Festival Cider, the Brothers say, is what launched their operation.  They were invited to setup a bar at the Glastonbury Festival to sell perry.  Not even the English know that perry is an alcoholic drink, like cider, fermented from pears, so they wisely just nicknamed it to pear cider.

Festival Cider isn't just pear cider.  It's extra strong pear cider. Brothers makes a a regular pear cider in the 5% range.

For a company which brags of the splendid "just a little bit fresher" Somerset fruits, Brothers Festival Cider has a an extra sweet pear taste, as if the pears came out of a can. Obviously, they didn't or the ingredients would list pear from concentrate or something similar, so it's no great credit to Brothers that the cider comes off this sweet.

Brothers, so far, has been like a girl I met at a party and was smitten with from her outward looks. As I continue to come into contact with her and learn more about her each time, I begin to like her less and less.  Eventually, I cut off all contact with her.

Brothers Festival won't get a re-order and I won't try it in Glastonbury either.
