Seducing An Australian

Seducing An Australian

Hungry to sample any of this?

“You don’t travel thousands of kilometers to Australia for the quality of the pickups, but once you’re here, you have to eat.  Outside Australia’s metropolitan centers, if you wish to maintain an exclusively Australian diet, you’ll find yourself feeding on scraps from the rubbish heap.”  Doug Knell, Doug’s Republic

Seducing An Australian

The quality of Australian pickups is a lot like the quality of Australian food.  When you’re in the big cities, like Melbourne or Sydney, you can dine on the best Australia has to offer.  When you’re in the boondocks, it’s slim pickings all around.

Generally, there are three types of travelers coming to Australia for a long term trip, long term consisting of two months or longer.   If you are only visiting Australia for a matter of weeks, then it’s not relevant if you fall into any of the three categories.  You’ll be in Australia for such a short duration that attempting to pickup a local will be superfluous.  It’s like trying to learn the local language in a foreign country.  The effort is better rewarded if you’re going to be sticking around long enough to put what you learn into practice.

Nice over-all accurate analysis, i think Doug.
if i may chip-in my two cents worth;
i remember reading the Dale Carnegie book “How to Win Friends and influence People) in it, he tells of a bigamist who was asked the secret of getting so many women. The bigamist replied..”easy, just talk to women about themselves..”
In fact, that’s the main thrust of the book…
talk to people about themselves and their interests and views.
Im my experience it is very, very true and more rewarding and interesting for oneself as well.

Hi Doug
Interesting article. I myself am an Australian and recently travelled to America.
American girls are very easy. I don’t know why but everywhere I went in America, girls would respond to just about anything and everything. I’m not what women would instantly class as attractive but I have read a lot of game. The problem with reading/listening/watching popular American game resources in Australia is that they are all made by Americans. It doesn’t work as well here as it does over there.

As far as I can tell from my experiences I can give a few pointers to help with your article and some other things you might find interesting:
-In America, the guys told me that Australian girls usually didn’t find their accent attractive. :/ Australian girls have confirmed that for me however I do agree that it is something that makes you stand out from the pack instantly and can catch someone off-guard and open them up for conversation. And like you said for just making it easier to work out game-potential in a girl.

-On a note of something else you said regarding America being very able to travel around for popular spots. I think that that creates a very different atmosphere in Australia. The attractive targets in America can travel around all over the place to live or holiday and are be thereby forced to be more open to befriending. In Australia there are only a few hotspots like you stated which means girls are more closed in, they see the same types of guys ALL the time, they see everyone pulling the same tricks especially “American tricks” from game-books and online game-study (which makes it easy for me to identify a frustrated Australian trying to score through research). The usual tactics therefore while still helpful to a complete newbie are not the best way to go. The best way is to simply start a regular conversation and try not to appear to be using any kind of tactic that the girls would be used to and then over time ramp that in to a closer connection. Works for me most of the time.
Australian women are harder to game than Americans. I also travelled in Mexico and the girls there were also even harder to game than Americans although still pretty easy compared to Australia.

Hopefully some of this will be helpful to you Good luck
