tasting this bar, I would've assumed that any bar that has
pralines added would go up a notch or two. Wrong I was. As I bit into this bar, I was reminded of the pain and suffering I endured while eating the Green & Black's Butterscotch bar.
It really is possible to mess up a sure thing.

I was expecting to love this
Godiva bar, the last in a package of six I picked up for
exorbitant prices at the Suvarnabhumi Airport duty free
shop. I'd already sampled the Godiva
Milk and was amazed
how good it was for using everyday low-endish ingredients
posing as prime ones. I'm not excusing Godiva for
cutting corners yet still charging as if the corners hadn't been
cut. I am praising them for using such skillful
mirrors that it looks like the corners are still there.
Pralines in chocolate are
something special. Before tasting this bar, I
would've assumed that any bar that has pralines added would go up a notch or two. Wrong I was. As I
bit into this bar, I was reminded of the pain and suffering
I endured while eating the Green & Black's
really is possible to mess up a sure thing. I have a
friend who screws up every relationship he's ever in,
regardless of the quality of the woman. Hollywood
often screws up can't miss concepts with mega-stars. Godiva
doesn't score a home run on this praline bar. The praline addition tasted too sweet, like that miserable honeycomb
flavor I had in the G & B Butterscotch. Fortunately, the Godiva milk chocolate itself was well
appreciated in my mouth.
I am being a tad hard on the bar. It wasn't
like I entered hell. I was just expecting so much from the
praline and nougatine.
Imagine you're going on a blind date arranged by your
friend, and the girl has been described to you as a clone of
Sofia Loren in her prime. Instead, the girl who shows
up looks like a girl in a B-grade porno flick. With a
praline bar, you're
still doing pretty well at the end of the day.
Godiva in Belgium makes tasty milk chocolate with praline nougatine.
You been to Belgium? Belgian chocolate in question is the milk chocolate with praline nougatine with high cocoa solids. Full of rich Belgian chocolate. The Chocolate Republic
